Roman Shainiuk sits one spot and just 50 points behind Knafo and as a Sacramento local, is expected to be in the field. Albert Knafo, who won WPTDeepStacks Venetian in July, currently leads the way with 1,400 points. The WPTDS Championship also gives players one last opportunity to pick up WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year points. The final table will be livestreamed on the WPT YouTube and Twitch channels on Tuesday, December 7. Surviving players will return to action on Monday, December 6 to play down to a final table of nine. Cards are in the air both days beginning at Noon local time. Day 1A is Saturday, December 4 while Day 1B runs Sunday, December 5. The $2,500 buy-in event features a $1 million guarantee and players can take advantage of a pair of starting flights.
